Who we are
Scouted by Stella ("we") is a model scouting and talent placement agency operated by Xstar LLC. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@team.scoutedbystella.com.
What we collect
Information you submit through our forms (name, role, company, email, casting details, photographs) together with the time and IP address of the submission, which we keep as the record of your consent; and correspondence with us. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps short-lived technical logs for security, and its Turnstile check sets a cookie to confirm you are human. That is everything that runs on this site.
Where else we get data
When we reach out to a brand, we found the contact on a public source — usually the company website, a published masthead, a press release or a professional profile. We record the source and date for every contact we research, and will tell you the source on request.
Why we process it
We use your data to respond to enquiries, match talent with brand briefs and, for fashion-industry professionals, to make occasional, individually researched professional contact about services relevant to your role. That contact relies on our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in introducing our talent to the people who cast them. It is low-volume, one person at a time, and every message carries a one-click opt-out. You can object at any time and we will stop immediately.
How we treat it
Your data stays with us. We use it to answer you and to match briefs with talent, and it reaches only the providers that run our email and hosting, listed below.
Under-18s
We accept applications from people aged 16 and over. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian submits the application and we deal with them. Photographs of anyone under 18 go to brands only with written parental consent.
Retention
Enquiry and outreach data is kept while the relationship is active and deleted within 12 months of last contact, or immediately on request. Opt-out records are kept indefinitely so that we honour them. Photographs sent to us are deleted with the rest of your data on the same schedule, or immediately on request.
Your rights
Access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction and portability. Email hello@team.scoutedbystella.com and we will act on requests within 72 hours. You can unsubscribe from any email in one click, or at /unsubscribe; unsubscribing takes effect immediately. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Subprocessors
Email delivery (Twilio SendGrid), website hosting and storage (Cloudflare), business email (Microsoft 365). Each is bound by a data-processing agreement. Data may be processed in the EU, UK, USA and Australia under standard contractual clauses.
